Bermuda's woes since gaining ODI status after the 2005 ICC Trophy have been well-documented, and their performances don't seem to be getting any better. On Monday, they were rolled over by Uganda in the second one-day match between the two sides (Uganda having only narrowly missed out in the first match). Uganda have also claimed the scalp of Kenya in a Twenty20 international earlier in the year, and won the World Cricket League Division Three title back in June. On current form, would you bet against Africa having a fourth ODI-ranked side come the end of the 2009 World Cup Qualifiers? I wouldn't...
(As an aside, both Namibia and Tanzania could also potentially gain ODI status by 2009 through the WCL system, depending on results, while Botswana and Mozambique are also in the competition - but their route through from Division Five would be far from easy. Uganda are looking the most likely African team at the moment to qualify. If you're interested in working through the permutations, the WCL is outlined here.)

I think namibia seems to me one likely team to qualify from africa,i think they are better side than ugandaien to reasons that they are having experince of playing in south african domestic competetion. on uganda i think they have potential to qualify for wc for sure. on there day they be able to beat kenya with skills they have. but one thing they lack consistency, that thing can go against them in qualifiers.well botswana and tanzania are upcoming teams from africa, they can do well in future .so i think cricket has good future in africa.
Namibia are another possibility, yes - but while they certainly have more experience, they haven't been getting the results lately, and were very disappointing in the last ICC Trophy. Uganda seem to want ODI status more, which is why my money's on them to get there first.
Perhaps Uganda could join next years Logan Cup, that would be good experience.
As for Bermuda, they are a joke. I don't know what they can do to improve honestly.
well i agree with taylor , but maehra those teams were not too good, only they beat kenya in t 20 match and we all know how bad kenyans were in that format.it will be interesting though if they do well in wcl div 2 . i wish them best of luck and it seems they have all the talents to go there what they lack is experince and may be inconsistencey.I really favour the uganda cricket.on putting ugandians to logan cup be not soo good idea , what they are looking for is ODI status so it be better if zim allow them to play list A tournament .It be also encouraging to allow kenya A team to play in domestic competetion.
i agree with taylor let them join the logan cup. If there worried about it strength logan cup not being good because of the players in S.A them they should let Uganda join.
