Details of Tuskers Squad Revealed

The Sunday News has details of the Matabeleland Tuskers' lineup. With some contracts yet to be signed, the paper reports that the following names have been confirmed:

Coach: Robin Brown

Contracted Players: Tawanda Mupariwa, Mark Vermeulen, Sean Williams, Charles Coventry, Christopher Mpofu, John Nyumbu, Simba Kusano, Sydwell Ndlovu, Titus Chipare, Matt Williams

"Pay-as-you-play" Players: Thabo Mboyi, Freedom Takarusenga, Romeo Kasawaya, Kendrick Moyo, Taurai Madiri, Mxolisi Dube, Bernard Mukondiwa, Cunningham Ncube, Khawulani Ntuli, Godwin Mamhiyo, Steven Chimanhiyo, Dumisani Mankunzini, Vincent Dururu, Mduduzi Fuzwayo

The paper also names several players who are still in negotiations with the franchise, including Terrence Duffin, Dion Ebrahim and Gavin Ewing.

Some of them are known -

Some of them are known - Freedom Takurasenga has been on the fringes of the national setup for a while, Khawulani Ntuli is a promising pace bowler. I've seen previous mention of Thabo Mboyi and Bernard Mukondiwa. The rest are new names, though - presumably they play for clubs in the Bulawayo provincial league.

Neither have featured in any

Neither have featured in any of the rumours we've been hearing. That said, it's only Tuskers who have been talking in detail about their squad selections - it's possible either of them could have been in touch with the other franchises, we'll just have to wait and see.

First round of the Logan Cup is only a week away now - I'd hope that all will become clear before then...

they all do

they all play in the local bulawayo league......most of them are talented and young special note being given to cunningham and godwin who have lots of potential.....it will not be amazing to see some of the, playing ahead of the fully contracted players.i for 1 will love to see godwin make his debut this season as he has been overlooked unfairly over the past year and fear we could lose great talent

ruswa was last in cape town studying information technology and playing cricket there
samuderu was with ruswa in cape town they play together
panyangara is in uk he plays in the huddersfield league there and plays rugby off season
archi charinda was in south at uni also playing

that is what i last heard from them as i am in contact with them
